AWE receives grant from Rosaria Haugland Foundation

In August 2008, Arts Work in Education received a $100,000 grant from the Rosaria Haugland Foundation to support its work in arts integration in middle and high schools in the Eugene/Springfield/Cottage Grove area. The Haugland Foundation has been a generous supporter of AWE since its launch in 2006, and has helped make it possible for AWE to train teachers and teaching artists in 20 schools and 82 classrooms, and serve more than 3,000 children and young people.

AWE receives grant from the Oregon Cultural Trust

With a generous grant of $12,000 from the Oregon Cultural Trust, Arts Work in Education will enhance educational opportunities in Oregon and begin to assess the outcomes of its arts integration program. AWE will also develop and launch its web site to share research and arts integration best practices with teachers and schools across the state and beyond.

AWE launches new projects for 2008-09

In September 2008, AWE began planning a new set of integrated arts projects in middle and high schools in Springfield, Eugene and Cottage Grove. The projects will be in full swing through the fall and winter. Click here, to learn more about how you can get involved with AWE.
